License Terms for Digital Music Downloads

1. Scope of Application

These license terms apply to all digital music downloads purchased via the online shop of Lifted Label Group.

By purchasing a digital music download, the buyer agrees to these license terms.

2. Type of License

Upon purchase of a digital music download, the buyer is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for private use of the downloaded music files.

All copyrights and related rights in the music remain with the respective artist and with Lifted Label Group in accordance with the applicable licensing agreements.

3. Permitted Use

The buyer may use the downloaded music exclusively for private purposes.

Permitted uses include in particular:

Listening to the music on personal devices
Storing the music on private devices
Creating private backup copies

4. Prohibited Use

Without the express written permission of Lifted Label Group, the following is strictly prohibited:

Public distribution of the music
Resale of the music
Uploading the music to other platforms
Use of the music for commercial purposes
Making the music publicly available on websites or streaming platforms

5. DJ and Club Use

The use of the music by DJs in live performances or DJ sets is generally permitted, provided that all applicable copyright laws and licensing regulations (e.g. GEMA or comparable collecting societies) are complied with.

6. Copyright

All music productions are protected by copyright.

The purchase of a download does not constitute a transfer of copyright ownership.

7. Digital Content and Right of Withdrawal

When purchasing digital content, the buyer expressly agrees that the provision of the download begins before the expiry of the statutory withdrawal period.

The right of withdrawal expires upon the commencement of the download in accordance with § 356 (5) of the German Civil Code (BGB).
